Franciacorta docg Pas Dosè Riserva Decem Annis 2005
THE RICHNESS OF MATURITY
This 2005 vintage has been produced with 100% chardonnay grapes. It originates from a careful selection of the grapes and a soft extraction of the must. Ageing on the yeasts has been very long: 10 years.
It is a mature, significant Franciacorta, a “meditation wine” whose most important resource is time.
Prestigious, evolved and harmonious, it is an exquisite nectar with an inebriating aroma able to conquer and amaze the most demanding palates.
Intense, very warm golden; great colouring; generous and warm, with aromas of amber, honey, bergamot and candied orange peel, amaretto liqueur; the perfumes of the patisserie are evident: pastry, melted butter, caramelised sugar, toffee and closing with liquorice roots and syrupy peaches. To the palate the effervescence becomes minute, it caresses leaving plenty of room for the soft perception of the mature wine; the absence of dosage does not create aggressiveness, the mature wine is naturally soft; with a lingering of the warm tones of its evolution.
COMBINATIONS RECOMMENDED BY NICOLA BONERA
A wine that satisfies also without marrying the food, but it is enhanced by the most flavoursome dishes, birds with a long cooking time and glazed dishes, or cheeses of medium-long seasoning.
Duck with orange.
