Franciacorta docg Brut Blanc de Blanc Doppio Erre DV
THE PURE, DAZZLING LIGHT OF CHARDONNAY
Doppio Erre DV is the limited edition of Doppio Erre Di. Unlike the latter, the bottles are left to age for a further 12 months after disgorgement, giving a greater evolutive note and a more significant structure. The wine is produced with 100% chardonnay grapes, using only the prime must from first pressing; a part of the base wine is fermented in barriques.
Attractive, fresh and succulent. It is a wine with exquisite sapidity, enchanting and tantalising.
Very bright straw colour, where the vine makes its mark to leave very delicate shades of green; to the nose it immediately expresses excellent intensity, aromatic herbs such as oregano and thyme blend with hints of resin and gooseberry, the citrus fruit merges with the sweet hints of pastry, the toasted nuts merge with the blossom of the lime tree and wisteria. To the palate it expresses the lively acidity typical of chardonnay; the effervescence, thanks to its long period of ageing, exhibits a great creaminess, the sip is generous and loaded with sensations, but without neglecting the most important, the stimulation that makes you want to taste again.
